Rosetta Scripture is a free, noncommercial scripture study tool. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Rosetta Scripture is a personal project. You can reach us via our contact page.
When you create an account, we store your email address. We use it solely to send you sign-in links. We do not use it for marketing.
If you are signed in, we store your reading lists (the books, chapters, and language pairs you are reading) and display preferences (theme, zoom level, layout settings). This data exists only to provide the service — so your reading lists sync across devices and your settings are remembered.
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to you.
When you sign in, we store your IP address and browser identifier with your session record. This is used only for security purposes (to detect suspicious activity) and is not used for tracking or profiling.
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion, we will remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, use our contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
We use a single session cookie (rs_session) to keep you signed in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you for advertising purposes.
We also use your browser's local storage for a small number of UI state values (such as dismissing notices). No personal data is stored in local storage.
Rosetta Scripture is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
